Made for Interstellar Game Jam 4.

I wrote the game in Rust. I used the Macroquad game library to render the screen and get keyboard inputs, and a simple 2D game utilities library that I wrote called 'xf'. The level was built in Tiled. Overall I spent about 20 hours making the game.

Controls:

  • Left and Right arrows: Move
  • Up arrow: Enter Door
  • Down arrow: Dash (requires item)
  • Z: Jump

Nice Work!

Really cool. Only thing is sometimes you can get stuck on the water for some reason, might have something to do with the dash ability i think. But great game!

I played just a tiny bit. Really liking the level design of going back and forth between places with new items and learning how to traverse the environment with the new items! I just got to the shoes, but got stuck here.

Overall, pretty fun and I really like how you used the mechanics well with the levels!
